Worker’s Comp // Loss Control

CAGC Insurance Company/CompTrustAGC (CIC) offers a comprehensive array of loss control consulting services to its participating insureds. These services are provided at no cost in an effort to reduce injury exposures thereby preserving your most critical resource, your employee. Also, as an added benefit, by helping you reduce your risks, your experience modification is lower, which reduces your workers’ compensation premium and ultimately increases your bottom line. This produces a win - win situation for the insured, the employee and CIC.

The approach that CIC Loss Control Consultants utilize is one of assistance to management in developing a successful loss control program that will foster an employee attitude of ownership within the company. The Loss Control Consultant works with management to develop Employee Injury Reduction Plans that are specific to a given insured and/or a given exposure. These Plans address specific issues in the overall structure of the organization that are identified as not working efficiently. In addition to outlining specific activities that need to be implemented, the Loss Control Consultant will work on increasing front line supervisor accountability. All of the loss control activities are incorporated into the operating procedures of the insured. Those items that get measured get results. Employee accountability and performance responsibility are keys to all successful plans.

The approach that CIC Loss Control Consultants utilize is one of assistance to management in developing a successful loss control program that will foster an employee attitude of ownership within the company.

CIC Loss Control Consultants work on the premise of identifying loss exposures and developing working plans that either eliminate or minimize the loss potential.

Identifying loss exposures, otherwise known as risk assessment, is the determination of how an insured is protecting their resources from loss. In this case the resource we are concerned with is the employee. Our Loss Control Consultant will evaluate current weaknesses and identify future areas of concern. This type of evaluation will occur for select accounts prior to an offer of insurability and/or after insuring and is written as part of our ongoing service.

Once our Loss Control Consultant has identified or evaluated loss exposures, they will then work with management to develop and implement cost effective controls. Specifically, the CIC Loss Control Consultant will meet with the management and together they will develop a custom tailored Employee Injury and Loss Reduction Plan that suits the special needs of the insured organization. This will help create optimum performance in the loss control organization and adds to bottom line profitability.
